The ASUS RT-AC5300 router offers a WLAN coverage of up to 200m² in the building thanks to its high-end hardware equipment, the powerful external 4x4 antenna design, and the ASUSWRT software optimized for WLAN performance. The ASUS AiRadar technology intelligently reinforces the WLAN connection using the universal 802.11ac beamforming technology. AiRadar beamforming technology focuses the WLAN signal in the direction of the remote station, ensuring a faster, safer, more interference-free and stronger WLAN connection with ASUS RT-AC5300. The ASUS RT-AC5300 Router is compatible with all modems/modem routers of the Internet providers for ADSL, VDSL, cable or fiber optic lines. Simply connect the ASUS router via network cable behind your ISP's device and benefit from the greater WLAN coverage and speed. AiMesh is an innovative new router feature that connects multiple ASUS routers to create a single, high-performance WLAN network throughout the house. The exclusive Asus Router App simplifies control of the home network. The app displays information such as the current data rate or CPU status. It also allows you to make settings, perform a firmware update, perform network diagnostics or check the ASUS RT-AC5300 security status. WTFast's Gamers Private Network (GPN) optimizes the routing of gaming packages by finding the most efficient route to the game server. This results in a permanently shorter ping time and minimal packet loss. RTAC88U users get this optimization for one user for free, so they are always one step ahead of their opponents in popular multiplayer online gameplay.

Tri-Band Smart Connect automatically selects the fastest of the three available frequency bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz-1, and 5-GHz-2) for each device, based on the speed and signal strength of the device and depending on how busy the frequency band is already. Thus, a higher range and a faster and more stable connection are achieved, as well as the user comfort is significantly increased by selecting only one WLAN network.
