ASUS RT-AC68U Manual
The ASUS RT-AC68U offers a combined dual-band speed of up to 1900Mbps. The 802.11ac standard with 1,300 Mb/s at 5 GHz enables Gigabit WLAN transmission rates, while Broadcom TurboQAM technology increases 2.4 GHz 802.11n performance from 450Mb/s to 600Mb/s on compatible devices. Thanks to its powerful dual-core processor, the ASUS RT-AC68U avoids performance slumps that other routers have to contend with when networks are running at full capacity. This increases the range and stability of the wireless signal, allowing the RT-AC68U to deliver smooth HD video streaming, low latency online gaming and VoIP calls, as well as uninterrupted file downloads, even when home networks are running at full capacity.
The ASUS RT-AC68U also has two USB ports for sharing files, printers and 3G/4G modems. One of them supports the USB 3.0 standard for up to ten times faster data transfer than USB 2.0. the exclusive ASUS AiCloud service transforms the home network into a private cloud that allows you to stream and share files for smartphones, PCs and tablet PCs. The synchronization from the router to the router also simplifies the synchronization of files on USB storage devices with other compatible ASUS routers. This way, even large files can be easily shared with friends and family.
The ASUS RT-AC68U's graphical ASUSWRT user interface is particularly easy and intuitive to use. It allows the RT-AC68U's performance potential to be fully exploited and the entire network to be managed and optimized. Thanks to the fast setup in just 30 seconds and the easy management of data traffic, even newcomers to the network can take full advantage of all the features. Advanced users can also enjoy IPv6 support, multiple wireless SSIDs, and secure VPN access.
The ASUS RT-AC68U supports the fifth generation (5G WLAN) WLAN standard. Thanks to the current 802.11ac chipset, it offers super fast Gigabit WLAN transmission speeds. In addition, the RT-AC68U uses TurboQAM technology to further improve the 2.4G WLAN and achieve exceptional speed. In the 2.4 GHz frequency range, it is up to 33% faster than a standard N900 WLAN router at 600 Mb/sec. In the 5 GHz range, it achieves up to 1300 Mb/s or three times the 802.11n transmission rate. The result is a combined WLAN performance with a speed of 1,900Mbps.
